Poem for a willow

I slumber deep beneath the surface:
a seeping fountain,
nourishing,
close to your roots.

To the depths of love,
I dream as I gather you close,
and spread me to you.
Will you will me
through your roots,
shoots,
to the freedom
of a blue sky?

Inspiration for this came from Willow, a poem by Terese Gagnon. Her blog is http://teresewritestheworld.wordpress.com/.
